Molly English is a fiber and mixed media artist in Chicago, IL, USA. She received her BA from Columbia College Chicago and her MFA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a participant in the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, class of 2025. In her work, English creates abundantly-textured, narratively-layered material assemblages. She engages plants, materials, and fellow animals as both characters and artistic collaborators in grotesque stories of interconnection and enchantment. Ultimately, these tactically-engaging forms are a means of reorientive myth-making—to trope the human disposition towards relational meaning-making, and imagine the micropolitical conditions of a thriving world post-anthropocene.
