Molly English is a multidisciplinary artist who creates abundantly-textured, narratively-layered material assemblages. She frequently uses textiles, drawings, and found objects, employing a variety of experimental crafting and natural dying techniques in the production of her work. She does so as a means of investigating relational meaning-making in today’s world— exploring interspecies relationships, material agency, and the irreducible difference between our animal Self and the animal Other.
Molly lives in Chicago, IL, USA. She received her BA from Columbia College Chicago and her MFA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a participant in the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, class of 2025.
